TriWest launches ‘Go Green and Give’ program

Published: 03:59PM January 26th, 2012

PHOENIX — Tricare West Region beneficiaries can make managing their health care easier and support military Families at the same time — just by choosing paperless options as part of TriWest Healthcare Alliance’s “Go Green and Give” campaign.

Beginning today, when Tricare beneficiaries “Go Green” with TriWest and opt in to receive secure, electronic health care statements via email or text, TriWest will donate $5 to one of four military support organizations of their choice. The inaugural “Go Green and Give” campaign helped net military charities $85,000 in contributions from TriWest.

“It has long been TriWest’s mission to provide quality health care, while at the same time boosting morale and well-being for military Families,” said TriWest President and CEO David J. McIntyre, Jr. “As part of our ‘Mission to Serve’ military Families, we constantly look at innovative ways to improve customer service, including connecting our beneficiaries with a convenient and secure way of managing their health care needs online or from their mobile phones.”

Tricare West Region beneficiaries must be registered users of TriWest.com to participate. Visit www.triwest.com/gogreengive to start an account and then choose to get paperless Tricare communications, such as referrals and authorizations, claims, explanation of coverage and enrollment fee statements.
