Veterans Appreciation Day at Northwest Trek

When: Sunday, Nov. 11, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Where: State Route 161 near Eatonville What: In celebration of Veterans Day, Northwest Trek is offering free admission to all individuals who are currently serving or have honorably served in the U.S. military. Please be sure to bring your active military/veteran ID card, discharge papers, DD214s, or other proof of U.S. military service. Free admission to the Washington State History Museum

When: Sunday, Nov. 11, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Where: 1911 Pacific Ave., Tacoma What: Veterans and active duty military personnel get free admission to the museum in honor of Veterans Day. The regular military rate of $7 applies to other family members. Children 5 and under are free. A program entitled “WWI Posters and the Origins of Armistice Day” will be presented at 11 a.m. by museum education specialist and military historian Gwen Perkins. Veterans Day Ceremony at the Museum of Flight

When: Sunday, Nov. 11 Where: 9404 East Marginal Way S, Seattle What: On Veterans Day all U.S. veterans and current U.S. military personnel will be admitted to the museum free of charge. The annual Veterans Day ceremony includes patriotic music by The Boeing Employees’ Concert Band from noon to 1:00 p.m., a guest speaker and a color guard. Puyallup Veterans Day Celebration

When: Monday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. Where: Pioneer Park Pavilion What: The Puyallup Valley Community Band, Tapestry Singers and Kalles Junior High School choir will give a free musical tribute to veterans and the Armed Forces. The program also includes guest speaker and retired Air Force Col. Joe Jackson, a Medal of Honor recipient for extraordinary heroism in Vietnam. Parking is free. Seattle Seahawks Military Appreciation Day

When: Sunday, Nov. 11, kickoff at 1:05 p.m. Where: Century Link Field, Seattle What: In recognition of Veterans Day, there are several activities planned for this Sunday’s Seattle Seahawks home game. A few highlights include World War II veteran and Ferndale, Wash., native Joe Moser raising the 12th Man flag, followed by a C-17 Globemaster fly-over. Drummers from the I Corps Band will play along with Blue Thunder, the Seahawks’ drumline, and the Seahawks plan on highlighting their team affiliation with the 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division. Free Entry to State, National Parks

All state and national parks in Washington will waive entrance fees to everyone from Saturday to Monday. The Discover Pass is not required to visit state parks on free days.
