Seahawks tickets on sale Saturday

Football: The Seattle Seahawks sold out their regular season tickets on the first sales day, but JBLM service members and military ID cardholders still have a chance to get their hands on single game tickets.

Preseason and regular season tickets are available at JBLM’s Leisure Travel Services on Lewis Main Saturday.

The sale is open to active duty service members only at 10 a.m. Saturday and opens to all authorized military ID cardholders Monday. Tickets are $70 for 300 level and $95 for 100 level seats. There is a limit of six tickets per household.

Last year more than 500 people waited in line outside LTS to purchase tickets.

Cartoon theme for mud run No. 2

Races: The 8th Annual Down and Dirty Mud Run finale is Saturday. The race starts at 10 a.m. near Soldiers Field House on Lewis Main and features a muddy run full of obstacles. The theme of the run is cartoons.

Sports meeting set for fall seasons

Intramurals: There will be a meeting at Cowan Stadium Aug. 13 at 2 p.m. to discuss intramural flag football, the JBLM Combatives Tournament and the fall battalion sports program.

Triathlon No. 2 set for Aug. 17

Races: The JBLM Deuces Wild Triathlon two-part series concludes Aug. 17 with an Olympic-distance race at Shoreline Beach on Lewis North at 9 a.m. Triathletes will compete individually or as team to swim a mile in American Lake followed by a 25-mile bike race and 6-mile run.

Rugby youth camp comes to McChord

Youth sports: Serevi Rugby returns to JBLM Aug. 12 to 16 for a camp on McChord Field.

The coed camp is for ages 7 to 14 and teaches young ruggers the fundamentals of rugby.
