Next week’s question
What’s your go-to side dish for summer picnics and cookouts?
What do you prefer, seeing a movie on the big screen or in the comfort of your own home?
“Depends on the movie; if it’s something we really want to see on the big screen like ‘Star Wars’ it’s the theater. Otherwise, it’s at home because we can pause for breaks to annoy the teenagers.”
“Seeing a movie in a theater with reclining seats and walls behind each row is pretty rad. I get too distracted at home.”

“Normally big screen, but the base theater is not competitive with the big-box theaters. I can get discount/matinee show times of first run movies for less than $8, which includes stadium seating and great sound/picture. If Carey Theater was significantly lower, I would go there instead.”
“I quit going to movie theaters long ago. I can barbecue, drink beer and pause if necessary. My feet don’t stick to the floor. No one using their cellphone or talking loudly. I don’t have to worry of what might be on the seat from the previous viewers. And, I can have the same food, or better, for 10 percent of the theater price.”
